Gibson and Capell Speak On the Impact of Social Media on Jury Trials
At the December 6, 2011, meeting of the New York State Medical Defense Bar Association, Robert Gibson and Jesse Capell lectured on the potential impact of social media during jury trials. They discussed how personal information appearing on Facebook and other social websites can impact jury selection or lead to juror misconduct based when jurors conduct independent research, contact witnesses or even blog about the trial or deliberations.
