Heller Speaks on the Defense of Diabetic Amputation Claims
On March 8, 2012, Tony Heller lectured at DRI’s (Defense Research Institute) Medical Liability and Health Care Law Seminar in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He discussed the defense of malpractice actions seeking recovery for diabetic amputation against the vascular surgeon, the endocrinologist, the podiatrist and those involved in wound care and defense strategies that involve inevitable medical results, poor patient compliance, discussions of jury venue characteristic (favorable and unfavorable to the defense), evaluation of medical and hospital records, and preparation for deposition.
