Kelly A. Herczeg

Kelly A. Herczeg

Kelly is a partner at the firm, and the majority of Kelly’s practice focuses on the representation of medical institutions, individual physicians, and other medical personnel in complex medical malpractice actions. She also practices general liability defense, representing corporations and business entities. Prior to joining the firm, she was a partner at the law firm of Thorn, Gershon, Tymann and Bonanni, LLP, first starting there as a law clerk during her final year of law school.

Kelly is involved in all stages of litigation from inception through resolution, including case development, litigation strategy, motion practice, liability evaluation, depositions, mediations, and trial/trial preparation.

Kelly is a member of the New York Bar Association, the Albany County Bar Association, Capital District Trial Lawyers Association, and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. She has been consistently selected to the Upstate New York Rising Star list by Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, in the specialty area of malpractice defense.

Kelly graduated in the top ten percent of her class and Magna Cum Laude from Albany Law School in 2016. During Law School, she was an editor on Albany Law Review and a Research Assistant for Patrick M. Connors, author for the New York Practice treatise. She is also a member of Albany Law School’s Justinian Society. During law school, she pursued multiple employment and internship opportunities at the New York State Bar Association, SUNY General Counsel’s Office, the Northern District of New York U.S. Attorney’s Office. Prior to law school, she was a paralegal providing support on a variety of civil litigation matters, from personal injury, contract disputes, to family law.
